Old Yale Brewing – Black Currant Ginger Sour

Overview

Old Yale Brewing – Black Currant Ginger Sour Review

Old Yale announced a mixed sour 4-pack recently, We’ve cracked open one of the new beers, a Black Currant Ginger Sour.

This beer pours a very attractive red colour, like a dark pink grapefruit. It has aromas of pomegranate, mandarin, white wine and strawberries.

On the palate it’s tart and juicy. Unsurprisingly there are flavours of berries and ginger, but also kiwi, and woody notes from the ginger.

Overall it’s a slightly tart fruity beer with a hint of ginger that scored very high for appearance, flavour and drinkability. Highly recommended.
