Foamers Folly – Equilibrium Imperial Coffee Milk Stout Review
Foamers’ Folly has been putting together some nice brews in recent times. Equilibrium is an example of that.
As you can see, it pours very dark brown/black with a nice head. It’s as full-bodied as it looks, with a silky smooth experience on the palate.
It’s alcoholic on the nose, but not overly so (ie, hot) on the palate. There’s licorice, coffee and chocolate. It’s extremely drinkable.
For the BeerSeeker that doesn’t drink coffee: this would be an exceptional way to ingest caffiene, if there were any actual cafffiene in the beer. Coffee flavour is a reward in itself though, even for those that aren’t coffee drinkers.
It’s sweet but bitter, if that’s possible. On the palate, it’s oily from the bitter coffee beans, but you still get the sweet chocolate, plus flavour of raisin.
Equilibrium is a creamy and delicious coffee/chocolate brew for anyone that enjoys the rich delicious notes of a coffee stout.
