Love craft beer. I think there is more of an untapped market in the suburbs of Vancouver. Hopefully the trend of more micro/craft breweries opening outside of Vancity continues and the people in the burbs support them.

Just recently moved to BC and love the variety of craft beers available. Have been a dark beer lover for a long time. Get most of my recommendations from local stores (Kal and 30th stores, Village Green store in Vernon) Staff are great at making suggestions and I enjoy trying new craft beers. Would love to know about Craft Beer events, so hope that the website will keep me up to date on these.

Why was the “Favorite Tap Room” question removed this year? And shouldn’t “Favorite Bottle Shop” be included?

      Thanks for the comments!

Mike, we did not remove any questions this year. In fact we added three. Due to the regional nature of tap rooms and liquor stores we do not ask those questions either. Our goal is to understand the state of the BC craft beer industry.

Thank you everyone for your comments and participation!

Thanks for your quick response and explanation, Dustan. (I must be confused with another BC Craft Beer Poll).
        Cheers!

I went to check which breweries opened in the last 12 months and was shocked to see my favourite, Old Abbey Ales, only opened in the spring. They are already brewing like they’ve been around forever! yum.

[…] A few years ago, Dustan also started hosting a yearly Craft Beer Survey that consumers could participate in. It was a way for him to know what consumers are looking for, what the trends are and really paint a picture of the entire beer scene across the province. He recalls, ”The first year I had a little over 500 responses, last year we had just over 1,500. We would like to at least match what we did last year.” The survey is open until the end of November, so it is not too late to participate in the survey, click here to fill it out! […]
