Hoyne Brewing Co. – Voltage Espresso Stout Review

Since the opening of the Hoyne Brewery Sean Hoyne has taught us one thing. He knows how to make great beer! The Voltage Espresso Stout is no exception. Pouring into the glass with a finger of head this near tar-black beer smells strong of Espresso. The smell of coffee is so intense that it leaves the brain unable to think of anything else. The flavour is no different either. Espresso is the main event here from start to finish. There is a malted note to the beer but overwhelmingly the palate is exploding with espresso goodness. This could be considered overboard by many but I can guarantee that if you are a coffee lover then you will like this beer.

Alcohol – 5.6%

Absolutely my favourite bottled espresso stout out there, and I don’t even drink coffee!
