New Tradition Brewing Company- Liquid Tuxedo Schwarzbier Review

The Comox Valley’s craft beer explosion continues at full tilt with the opening of New Tradition Brewing. After opening in August of 2019, New Tradition has just celebrated its first anniversary. Owners Pat and Tim have learned the lessons of craft beer well, focusing on the beer foremost, as well as engaging with their local community and being environmentally aware. But what happens when New Tradition needs to get into some formal wear? It might be a tuxedo time.

Liquid Tuxedo is dark brown with a small tan head that sustains well. The aroma has mild notes of coffee beans, nuts, bread, and a hint of toast. There is good carbonation with a light body and a good level of bitterness. The flavour is of roasted almond, golden toast, and dried cocoa nibs with a hint of vanilla. It is crisp and has a smooth mouthfeel. It finishes well with lasting bitterness and a cocoa powder note.
