Dog Mountain Brewing- All Together IPA

Overview

Dog Mountain Brewing- All Together IPA Review

Can’t wait to have a beer on a patio this summer? Also, itching to hit the road for a beer-centric road trip? Well, join the club. While we all wait patiently and hope for the best, one brewery to put on your BC hitlist is one of the newest, Dog Mountain. Port Alberni’s second brewery, which opened just before the new year, has had to do some quick adapting in these troubled times. However, if no other pandemics scourge the globe soon, hopefully, we will all get a chance to be amazed by Dog Mountain’s giant rooftop patio with its 124 person capacity and its own separate bar and table service. A second reason to visit will be co-owner and head brewer Robin Miles sessionable beers. Let’s take a closer look at the All Together IPA.

All Together is orange with moderate haze. It has a big white head with tight bubbles that linger really well. There is a medium-strength orange citrus aroma with hints of pine and grapefruit. On the palate, there is a nice forward bitterness and it is medium-bodied with some of the creamy mouthfeel of a hazy. Orange citrus hoppiness is central with big pine notes. There are hints of melon and white grape. As it warms more papaya and tropical fruit hoppiness is noticeable in both the aroma and flavour. This beer finishes long with citrusy bitterness.
