33 Acres Brewing – 33 Acres of Nirvana Review

PRESENTED BY LEGACY LIQUOR STORE
From the Fall 2019 edition of the What’s Brewing Tasting Panel

With all the variety of India Pale Ales that have been created and brewed over the last few years in BC; Black, White, Red, Belgian,Tart, Sour, Hazy,Milkshake,New England, the American IPA, or our version the West Coast IPA seems to be a beer style of the past! But fear not, the classic, clear and crisp, non hazy, non pulpy, non lactose IPA appears to be making a comeback!

When it comes to creating a true classic ,Dave Varga, head brewer of 33 Acres since its beginning in 2013 is the master. Known for always creating beer perfectly to its style, the 33 Acres of Nirvana is a great example.

This hop forward beer pours a rich copper colour , clear with light carbonation. It starts off with a huge off white coloured  mousse like head that slowly dissipates leaving a nice pattern of lacing on the glass while drinking it. The aroma is citrus, pink grapefruit with a hint of resin and pine  that continues right into the taste and lingers on the palate. An extremely crushable IPA at 7%.
