Nuba and Faculty Brewing Announce New Collaboration Beer

NUBA TEAMS UP WITH FACULTY BREWING TO RELEASE NEW COLLABORATIVE NUBA TURMERIC ALE ON MARCH 12

Complimentary Samples and Happy Hour Pricing for Exclusive Beer Available at Four Nuba Locations for Limited Time

The teams at Lebanese comfort-food favourite Nuba and Vancouver craft beer community mainstay Faculty Brewing have joined forces to create a new collaborative Nuba Turmeric Ale that will make its big draught debut at all four Vancouver Nuba locations and Faculty this Thursday, March 12.

Inspired by the flavours of Nuba’s modern Middle Eastern fare, the new 5.2% ABV brew is a bright and citrusy ale that derives its name from the fresh-pressed turmeric and ginger used in the recipe and offers up complementary notes of spice thanks to the addition of coriander and cardamom in the kettle.

To celebrate the launch, all four Nuba locations will be offering free samples of the collaboration beer upon request from March 12 to 14. During its debut week from March 12 to 18, the Nuba Turmeric Ale will be available at the Happy Hour price of $5 per pint at all Nuba locations. Faculty Brewing will also make its latest co-creation the centre of attention during its ongoing series of Experimental Beer Thursdays this Thursday, March 12.

“There’s a mutual respect and admiration for both brands, and we’re excited to finally realize a collaborative effort that’s long been in the making,” says Nuba Co-Owner Ernesto Gomez, who first came up with the collaboration alongside friend and colleague, Faculty Owner Mauricio Lozano. “We were looking to create a unique, easy drinking beer that captures and complements the flavours that Nuba is known for, and we think Faculty nailed it.”

ABOUT NUBA | Founded in Vancouver by Victor Bouzide in 2003 as a way of paying homage to his grandmother’s cooking while also placing a premium on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, Nuba has grown from a small, 15-seat restaurant on Hastings Street to a popular and successful group of four restaurants and a catering division, all co-owned by Bouzide and Ernesto Gomez. Nuba has built a loyal following for its modern Middle Eastern cuisine, seeking out the freshest handpicked ingredients and offering a menu that is largely vegetarian- and vegan-focused, while also featuring dishes that contain halal, non-medicated and hormone-free meat and poultry. Food and juices are made to order from authentic, original recipes passed down through several generations and sincerely nurtured. The spirit of tradition runs deep at Nuba, but never at the expense of its desire to provide guests with new and exciting dining experiences. | nuba.ca
