Fernie, BC (April 3, 2020) – Brewed with the adventurer in mind. A refreshing, light Hazy Pale Ale with a hint of lime. Perfect for mountain tops, riverbanks, backyards, and of course Finish Lines. Wherever they may be.
Finish Line Hazy Pale Ale with lime is Fernie Brewing Co.’s newest brew, joining their diverse team of year-round and Limited Release beers. Launching locally today, ironically surrounded by 8 inches of fresh powder, before making its way to stores throughout BC and Alberta over coming weeks – where it will hopefully be met by the refreshing rays and fresh-aired adventures this summer seasonal longs for.
It’s uncertain who was more excited for this sought-after lower alcohol style of beer – Team Brew or Team Marketing. Regardless, both believe this beer could soon be everyone’s favourite summer sidekick – the sort of friend who lives for adventure but is equally happy to chill in the backyard, (at a safe distance, please). Available in a 6-pack, it’s along the lines of FBC’s award-winning Hit the Deck Hazy IPA, but at 4% ABV, it’s lighter bodied and refreshing, without skimping on flavour-packed full of Citra and Vic Secret
hops, unfiltered, with a gentle punch of lime.
One thing’s for sure, this beer is nothing short of a perfect pairing and ode to the outdoor-adventurers’ playground that is Fernie, and FBC wanted to celebrate it as such. Earlier this year they put out a call out for willing adventurers to come forward and apply to join Team FBC – with the goal of forming a team of like-minded, adventurous souls. Whether they like it steep and deep, can be found casting for more, or prefer bagging the tallest peak, Team FBC promote a healthy, outdoor lifestyle from across BC and Alberta – and they sure like to earn it, before they drink it.
Many applications later, FBC is stoked to announce that their 2020 team is now selected – and over coming weeks they will be revealing their 8 athletes over Social Media, with the final, full team dropping next month.
Local Fernie’ites can find Finish Line in Liquor Stores or through FBC Flyby (online order for safe pickup at the Brewery), as of noon today. Otherwise, look out for Finish Line racing onto shelves throughout BC and Alberta in coming weeks, all summer long.
