JAK’s liquor chain to donate portion of this Saturday’s sales to food banks

One of BC’s most prominent liquor stores is doing some good this weekend.

JAK’s Beer Wine & Spirits will be donating 10% of sales from all 14 of its locations on June 22 to food banks across BC.

“Our busiest weekend of the year falls at a time when food banks across BC are struggling to keep their shelves stocked,” said Tim Dumas, director of sales and marketing at JAK’S. “We see this as an opportunity to raise a glass with our guests, and raise money and awareness for food banks across BC at the same time.”

Local food banks across the province will get donations, including ones in Vancouver, New Westminster, Richmond, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Penticton, Williams Lake, and Campbell River.

Guess there’s never been a better time to stock up on your favourite seasonal beverages!
