Howe Sound Brewing’s Beastly Imperial Licorice Stout to take on a new name this Fall
ULTRADESTROYER defeats Megadestroyer
This Fall, Howe Sound Brewing Company announced that their legendary Megadestroyer Imperial Licorice Stout will be reborn as ULTRADESTROYER. It was first brewed in 2010 as a collaboration with the Alibi Room and Ken Diamond from Megadestroyer Clothing, for the Alibi Room’s 200th Beer List Celebration, but has outgrown its origins with the Beastly Imperial Licorice Stout developing a cult following of its own. Now, the time has come to give this legendary beer the name it deserves and mighty enough to stand up to its strength. Enter ULTRADESTROYER. Rest assured, we have made no changes to the recipe and you can expect the same strong beer that fans and craft beer drinkers have come to know and respect over the last 10 years.
This beer has taken on a life of its own since the first release. We were searching for a word that was bigger than Mega; something that could crush a Megadestoyer… We recognise what the name means to a lot of people – we are grateful for the support of the beer over the last 10 years, and we hope to carry on the legacy of this legendary beer for many years to come” says Howe Sound Brewing’s head brewer, Peter Charles.
The newly born and seasonal Ultradestroyer Imperial Licorice Stout will be hitting the shelves Friday, November 19th, 2021.
