Beard’s Brewing Co. wins business award
Beard’s Brewing Company was named one of Northern B.C.’s best new businesses at the ThriveNorth Business Challenge in Fort St. John on Oct. 4.
Stephen Beard and his family launched the craft brewery in Fort St. John last November, buying used equipment from an expanding brewery in Southern B.C. to produce and serve the first batch of locally-made craft beer in Northeast B.C.
“We are passionate about our community, we are passionate about beer,” Beard says.
Beard won in the 29 to 39 years old category, which came with a $10,000 prize.
