Central City Brewers & Distillers released the fourth in their sour series: the Pia Cassis Sour.  The beer pours from the 750mL bottle a clear, dark ruby red colour with one finger of mahogany head that leaves no lacing behind in the glass.  Aromas of dark fruit, oak and berry mingle on the nose, joined with notes of acidity and a pronounced earthy funk.  In the mouth the beer shows prominent notes of earth, sour funkiness, oak and lemon pith.  Berry tones, dark fruit and plum make themselves known later.  This complex, medium bodied sour continues to offer more to discover and offers many fruity and earthy tones that seem to balance out the acidity leading to a long, lingering tart finish.

Alcohol – 8.8%
IBU – 30
Size – 750mL
