Strathcona Beer Company – Dark Mild Review
Strathcona Beer Company brought out their Dark Mild at the brewery in the summer of 2016 and the beer is now available in bottles. The beer pours from the bomber bottle a clear dark brown to black with two fingers of tan head that leaves behind plenty of lacing. Aromas of mild roasted malts and chocolate emanate from the beer, accompanied by a hint of sweetness. In the mouth the flavour is of coffee, chocolate, and roasted tones, coupled with a slight nuttiness that manifests later. The beer has a creamy, light texture and is malty but not heavy and slightly sweet. The Dark Mild finishes clean with a slight bitterness.
