Fieldhouse Brewing Salted Black Porter BottleFieldhouse Brewing – Salted Black Porter Review

Using salted Dutch licorice, Fieldhouse Brewing has recreated the classic candy in your glass.  The beer pours from the 750mL bottle an opaque black with three fingers of light brown, lasting head that leaves no lacing on the glass.  The aroma is of roasted malts, cocoa, rich malts and some salinity.  Flavours of coffee, licorice and chocolate dominate initially, followed by a subtle salty flavour and a bittersweet finish.  A lighter bodied porter, the Salted Black Porter is easy to drink with a light, lingering bitterness.

Alcohol – 6.5%
IBU – 25
Size – 750mL
