Fuggles & Warlock Craftworks – Hot Trub Time Machine IPA Review
Collaborating with Machine Ales out of the Callister Brewery, Fuggles and Warlock has brewed up the Hot Trub Time Machine IPA. This beer is 6.9% and 61 IBU. This unique brew is golden in colour and pours a thin finger of head which settles slowly with lacing being left behind on the glass. The smell of this beer is big with tropical fruit and a touch of funk. Notes of Mango and grapefruit take hold while a light onion-like character gives a bit of an oddity to the nose. The flavour starts off with a mid-body and malt character that sneaks through. The fruit notes build in a sessionable and tropical fashion with bitterness that grows as the flavour progresses. This beer is balanced between malt and hop character and has big hop flavour without going crazy on the bitterness.
Alcohol – 6.9%
IBU – 61
Size – 650ml bottle

I hope that Machine Ales continues to collaborate like this one as they have an amazing take on the IPA that is missing in Cascadia. Although this one was not super cloudy it still retained the great flavour that Machine was known for. Not surprising though as Fuggle & Warlock Craftworks is also awesome at making IPA’s.
