Tree Brewing Raw Series Helles Lager Review Tree Brewing Co. – Raw Series Helles Lager Review

The 5th beer to be released in Tree Brewing’s Raw Series of unfiltered beers is the Helles Lager. This classically brewed lager is sold in 355ml bottles  and comes in at5.0% and 18 IBUs. From the bottle this beer pours golden in colour and has two fingers of lightly lacing head that settles moderately quickly. The aroma is malty with notes of biscuit, light sweetness and a touch of honey. The flavour has a deeper tone to it than many lagers that gives an almost earthy like character. This is joined with the malt tones, biscuit notes and very mild hop bitterness. The Tree Lager is an easy drinker and one that doesn’t have the citrus, effervescent notes that some similar lagers have.
