In the session summer mixer from Tree Brewing is their Kolsch that is bike themed and called the Road Rash. Themed after the Prospera Granfondo in Penticton, this beer pours from the 355ml can a colour of gold and is topped with two fingers worth of head. From the beer comes an aroma consisting of German malt, light citrus  and notes of honey sweetness. Tasting the beer it is easy drinking but has a strong malt character. The maltiness gives a somewhat dry body to the beer while a honey sweetness smooths out the profile. By Kolsch Standards the Road Rash is fairly big flavoured and offers a nice balance of swetness and dry malt character. With the goal of making a beer that is truly refreshing after a long day in the saddle Tree hit their mark – this is that beer.

Alcohol – 5.0%
