Dageraad Brewing – Belgian Blonde IPA Review
Dageraad Brewing swore up and down they’d never make an IPA. But it seems that our collective pressure made them relent and they’ve put together their own take on the style: a Belgian Blonde IPA. The beer pours a cloudy straw colour with three fingers of off-white, lasting head leaving behind plenty of lacing. The aromas are of apple, pear, resin, and yeast, with some slightly grassy and floral notes. The taste is bready and yeasty with some citrus peel, followed by a spicy note that leads into grass, pear and pine flavours. The yeast, fruit, and spice transitions into a classic hoppy IPA style bitterness. This Belgian IPA is much lighter in body than most similar styles making it very easy to drink.
