Howe Sound Brewing Reisling IPA Review Howe Sound Brewing Co. – Sea To Sky Riesling IPA Review

The second release in the Howe Sound Brewing Sea To Sky series of beers is an IPA that is brewed with Riesling Grape Must. From the bomber bottle this beer pours a colour of cloudy gold and is topped with a thin finger of head. The beer smells strongly of pineapple, grapefruit and citrus. The aroma is intense with fruit tones and doesn’t leave much room for the grape tones to come through. Taking the first sip, the citrus and grapefruit tones come out strong and join the Riesling grape content to make a very unique flavour profile. The grape content gives a wine-like tone to the beer and a light wine yeastiness. This is contrasted with a bitter-sour-sweetness from the citrus tones. In this beer it is a bit of a wild ride for flavour but comes out as a unique, intense and big flavoured IPA.
