Postmark Brewing Sevens IPA Review Postmark Brewing Co. – Sevens IPA Review

The Postmark Brewing Company has partnered with Canada Sevens Rugby to brew the Sevens IPA. At 6.0% and 52 IBUs this is a lighter side of IPAs that is true to the Postmark, sessionable style. From the bomber bottle (also available in cans) this beer pours as an amber colour with nearly two fingers of dense and lacing head. Through the dense cap comes a citrus aroma of piney hops with a mild fruitiness to it. The smell is distinct but not all that intense with a malty backbone to it. Tasting the beer is is mid-light bodied and has a distinct but not all that strong flavour. notes of citrus, pine and light mango hit the tongue and overshadow the malt in the background. The taste is big with hops but not overly bitter for a northwest IPA. The Sevens IPA remains sessionable, light and quite enjoyable.

Alcohol – 5.9%
IBU – 55
Size – 650ml
