R&B Brewing Co. Red India Pale Ale Review
R& B Brewing has released their first seasonal brew of 2016 – a Red IPA that was single hopped using Vic Secret Hops. Pouring this beer from the bomber bottle it has a colour of copper-brown and is topped with two fingers of dense and lacing head. An aroma of bold hop notes gives a mango and light pineapple like scent in a big and bitter package. Along side the big hop tones a mellow caramel sweetness also comes through on the nose. Tasting the beer it has massive fruit right off the bat with mango, pineapple and passion fruit flavours that take over the palate. As the flavour explosion progresses a toasty, lightly burnt caramel flavour adds a light sweetness that balances out the fruity hop bitterness. The Vic Secret hop does great things to this beer and R&B Brewing is off to a great start in 2016 with their first limited release brew.
