Granville Island Twisted Twin Dunkelweizen Review Granville Island Brewing Co. – Twisted Twin Dunkelweizen Review

Brewmaster Kevin Emms of Granville Island Brewing has come up with the Gemini of the craft beer world – the Twisted Twin Dunkelweizen. This fall-inspired dark hefeweizen pours from the bomber bottle as a deep, clouded brown colour with a massive three fingers of head. The head is dense and leaves a light lacing on the glass as it settles. From the beer comes a malty and light, slightly chocolate aroma with a nice banana infused, toasted-wheat note. The beer is well carbonated and the body is smooth while being light on the tongue. The dark wheat tones give way for a light clove and chocolate flavour that is unique and rather smooth. This is a classic, lighly spiced, fall flavoured beer.
