BC Craft Beer Month Kicks Off With #BCFIRST
20 BC Breweries joined forces at the opening event for the 2015 BC Craft Beer Month Festivities. Each BC brewery had a beer on tap at the Central City Brewpub on Beatty Street in downtown Vancouver. The event sold out with a limited 180 tickets available for only $20 each. Each ticket included 4 10oz beer glasses and proceeds from ticket sales went to support the BC Craft Brewers Guild.
This wasn’t your typical beer event. Among the attendees were many of the brewers that had their beers pouring for the evening. Mingling through the room you could find yourself talking to a brewmaster from Central City, Fuggles & Warlock, Yellow dog, or a number of other prominent BC breweries.
The October 1st event was a perfect time for breweries to line up their fresh hop beers and let consumers taste the flavour of the season. The beer list was speckled with a handful of rare and extremely sought after brews. It was not all about the fresh hop though. If your fancy was for pumpkin ales, brown ales, Hefeweizens or Sours there was a strong showing of styles across the board.
This year’s list of BC Craft Beer Month events includes tap takeovers, fresh hop festivals, Oktoberfest celebrations and much More. For more information on the many different events that are taking place around the province check out bccraftbeermonth.com
