Spinnaker's Rye Bretta Review Spinnaker’s Brewery – Rye Bretta Saison Review

The Spinnakers Brewery has entered the Brettanomyces game with their Rye Bretta Saison. This bottle conditioned beer pours from the bomber bottle as a slightly cloudy beer that erupts with a fist’s full of loosely packed head. Carbonation continues to flow from the base of the glass while the beer gives off a barnhouse like aroma filled with straw, wheat and a lightly sour funk. The taste starts off with a big carbonation that leads into a flavour of wheat, a light sourness and a full bodied farmhouse flavour. As the flavour progresses a light bitterness emerges making for a balanced and well flavoured beer that highlights the saison style and the added kick of Brett “wild” yeast.

“You are in for a wild ride.”
