Spinnaker's Brewery Belgian Porter Review Spinnakers Brewery – Reve De Londres Belgian Porter Review

The Reve De Londres Belgian Porter is a cross between Belgian and English styles. On the label, a Belgian is pictured dreaming of a London skyline. From the 650ml bottle this internationally inspired beer pours as a dark chestnut colour topped with a single finger of rather quick to settle head. The Aroma is more of a Belgian Strong Ale than a Porter with toffee, dark fruits, burnt caramel and a touch of coffee. The flavour is light bodied with a crispness to it. A toffee and dark fruit, light Dubbel-esque flavour comes through with a hint of coffee and chocolate leaning the beer slightly towards being a Porter. This internationally inspired beer has b bit of an identity crisis but leans on the Belgian side of the border.
