Persephone Honey Ale Review Persephone Brewing Co. – Honey Farmhouse Ale Review

From Gibsons, British Columbia The Persephone Brewing Company has been hard at work creating the Honey Farmhouse Ale. This beer is brewed with farm fresh honey and a locally inspired flavour. Pouring from the bomber sized bottle this beer appears a crisp golden colour topped with two and a half fingers worth of loose and lacing head. From the Honey Farmhouse Ale comes a malty- lightly sweet aroma along with a bit of citrus and spice. The flavour starts off light and fresh but quickly builds into a honey sweetened beer with a bitterness and a touch of sourness to it. Sourness comes in at the side of the tongue while a bitterness lingers at the back. Rather unusual for a Farmhouse Ale this lightly sweetened, sour-bitter combo is rather enjoyable in a unique package
