Nelson Brewery - After Dark Organic Brown AleNelson Brewing Co. – After Dark Organic Brown Ale Review

The Nelson Brewery has a winter option and it is called the After Dark. This organic brown ale comes in 355ml cans and pours into the glass as a dark brown colour topped with one finger of lacing head. The After Dark smells strongly of chocolate, coffee and toasted malt in an aroma that forecasts a beer much darker than its colour. The body is light compared to the smell but the flavour is big with chocolate in a bitter-sweet package. Malt forward with a touch of creaminess on the tongue this brown ale is quite big compared to other similar beers with nice chocolate flavours and a touch of coffee. This is a delicious and quite flavourful perfect for a fall or winter’s day.
