With Stone Brewing entering the Canadian market they have teamed up with Bomber Brewing Company to brew their first ever British Columbia collaboration beer. The Blood From A Stone Red Rye Ale comes in a beautifully painted – Stone style bottle. Pouring as an amber colour topped with two full fingers of head the Blood From A stone has a spicy-hop aroma and a big malt body to go with it. In tasting the beer there is a fairly big body with strong rye notes which compliments a big hop at the same time. A creaminess comes into play and while the body is rather large there is also a lightness to the texture and an airy feeling to the beer. Rye tones take charge and while the IBUs are rather high the malt tones and a caramel flavour also makes itself known. THis beer is well balanced and on the hoppy side with big Rye spice. A delicious beer for the hop-head in all of us.
