Nelson Brewing Co. - Hooligan Organic Pilsner Review Nelson Brewing Co. – Hooligan Organic Pilsner Review

In the line of updated organic beers coming from the Nelson Brewing Company is the Hooligan Pilsner as a beer for the fans of sessionable, light, yet flavourful brews. This beer comes from the bottle appearing a crips and clear, straw colour with a thick finger’s worth of head left on top lacing the glass’s sides. From this beer comes light pilsner malts in a grain-like very sessionable tone. The maltiness has a slight citrus note to it and the faintest of hops but really this is all about the malted barley. The flavour kicks off in a similar manner being light, refreshing and malt forward. A light body combined with a slightly sweetnened, relatively creamy body makes for a beer that goes down easily and quite quickly. This beer is rather traditional but right on the money in flavour and body. The Nelson Brewing Hooligan Pilsner may be easily overlooked in the sea of BC Craft Beer options but this is worth picking up. If you are a fan of Pilsners this one is a winner!
