Mt. Begbie Brewing Co. – Tail Whip Munich Helles Lager Review

As a new, limited release from Revelstoke BC’s Mt Begbie Brewing Company is the Tail Whip, A Munich Helles Lager brewed in the tradition of Germany. This international inspired beer pours a crisp, golden straw colour with one finger of head left topping the glass. As the head settles the glass is left nearly clean with the beer smelling of a light, and sessionable lager. Munich malts, mild sweetness and a touch of euro-styled hops give a balanced, light introduction to this beer. The flavour is light on the tongue with mice, smooth malted notes up front. a semi-sweet mid section and a lightly hopped finish. This beer is brewed with the tradition of Germany in a light, sessionable and delicious craft beer. The Tail Whip may not blow your socks off but a Helles Lager is designed to be sessioned and enjoyed pint after pint, stein after stein. This is a beer that is best followed by another, then repeat!
