Hell’s Gate Brewing Co. – Premium Lager Review

The Hell’s Gate Premium Lager is another affordable beer from a BC based Brewery. At less than $10 per 6-pack this is competitive with the mass produced beer but has some local flavour attached. Pouring from the can a crisp, golden colour – two fingers of head disperses quickly without a trace. The aroma is all malt with a sweetness attached hinting at a creamier than typical lager texture. The flavour is light mild and easy drinking. Starting off with a light malt front the flavour leads into a light honey-like sweetness before finishing off dry and crisp with a slight lingering sweetness. For the price, this is a nice beer. It may not take home many awards for creativity but it is easy drinking, pleasant and quite enjoyable.
