Spinnakers Gastro Brewpub – Switsure Session Ale Review

In tribute to BC’s most famous yacht race the Royal Victoria Yacht Clubs Swiftsure Classic is a Session ale. This ale smells of citrus, floral sweetness and a decent hop aroma. The flavour is light in the start with mild sweetness and malts. This light start builds into a well hopped mid-section and finish. An English style hop adds a sharp bitterness to the finish while remaining quite light and sessionable. At a mild 4.5% alcohol the whole beer has a thin texture and no alcohol bite in site. The bitter finish may seem a touch out of character but overall it is a sessionable and easy drinking beer to enjoy through the warmth of a summer day

Alcohol – 4.5%
Size –650ml bottle
Price – $5.95 (Private Liquor Store)
