Fernie Brewing Co. – Rusty Tractor Weizenbock Review

Tucked away next to the Alberta border in the town of Fernie BC is the Fernie Brewing Company that has released their spring offering in the form of the Rusty Tractor Weizenbock. As a German style beer with high wheat malt content it is an opaque, reddish-copper colour with three fingers of full head. The beer smells strong of wheat, orange, lemon and even a touch of coriander making for a fragrant and aromatic bock. The flavour is big but not overpowering. The taste is of wheat, orange peel, citrus and toasted malt. The low IBU leaves a pleasant flavour and a grapefruit-like bitter finish paralleled by a slight liquor flavour. Overall this is a bold tasting bock but is pleasant and quite enjoyable.

Alcohol – 7.5%
Size – 650ml bottle
