Vancouver Craft Beer Week 2013 Collaboration Altibeer Review

For Vancouver Craft Beer Week 2013 BC beer drinkers are luck enough to get another collaboration beer from BC’s top breweries. This year it is the VCBW Altibeer with proceeds going to the A Better Life Foundation. This charity-helping beer pours a copper-brown colour with three+ full fingers of head that is slow to disperse. The aroma is malted with notes of caramel, toffee and a slightly bitter hop aroma. Tasting the beer it is crisp, smooth and goes down easy. the flavours of toffee and caramel come through clear with a mid-hop very pleasant bitterness that balances the sweetness. This beer is easy drinking, flavourful and quite enjoyable. Fitting well into the goldilocks scenario it is bold but not too bold, flavourful but not too flavourful and extremely well balanced along the entire flavour portfolio. Help out a local charity and pick up a bottle of this delicious collaboration ASAP!
