Swans Brewpub – Extra IPA Review

The Swans Extra IPA pours into the glass erupting with head. This beer was actually difficult to pour and in my apparent failure I couldn’t help but remember the failed pourings of my early university career. The thick and exuberant head settled slowly giving lots of time to enjoy the hoppy, citrus aroma. The taste is bitter with a sour touch. A lemon/grapefruit citrus flavour adds to the hopped, bitter tones that leave the palate reaching for another drink. Getting past the excessive head, this beer has a bit more to it than your average IPA and is a nice change from the typical and common IPA.
