Overview

  • Brewery: Parallel 49 Brewing Co.
  • Beer Style: Pumpkin Ale
  • Pros:

    Smooth, delicious, well spiced flavour

  • Cons:

Over the top in pumpkin spice

  • Conclusion:

A very spiced, smooth Pumpkin Ale

The Parallel 49 Schadenfeude smells of a Pumpkin Spiced Late straight from the coffee shop. A pumpkin-ness is matched with a cinnamon aroma that makes the imagination run mild. The colour is a golden amber and the head is on the thin side but leaves a defined ring around the glass. Tasting this unique beer, it is thick with strong notes of pumpkin, cinnamon and allspice that engulf the tongue leaving a spiced and lightly gingered finally. This beer is over the top with flavour and really does demand attention. The taste may be slightly awkward and overbearing but you can only respect it for what it is. This is a seasonal, desert beer that can be enjoyed by anyone that has the taste for pumpkin.
