Great Canadian Beer Festival

The 2012 Great Canadian Beer Festival

It has come and gone. The 20th annual Great Canadian Beer Festival is now complete. The list of brewers for this 2012 edition of the event was in excess of 50 and the beer was better than ever! The Brewers came from around the country and assembled in Victoria BC’s Royal Athletic Park for this two-day event where lucky ticket holders were able to taste some of Canada’s best beer.

With so much beer in one place and such a limited supply of time to drink it was impossible to try everything. Making quick work on site though there were a few breweries that stood out. Townsite, Central City, Driftwood, Saltspring Island and Double Trouble all were very memorable but all the beer was top-notch.

In addition to the fabulous beer the event hosted a number of food carts, musical guests and some Grade-A people watching. This article is more about the pictures than anything so stop reading and thumb through the pictures below. I Hope it inspires you to come out and enjoy the 2013 event!
