Parallel 49 Brewing Co. – Seedspitter Watermellon Witbier Review

The Seedspitter is not what you are imagining. This is actually a mellow wheat ale. In the afternotes, a slight fruity, watermelon hint comes into play. This beer is fairly neutral, refreshing and easy to drink. The opaque nature of the wheat ale is not thick as it can be and the taste is reasonably consistent from start to finish. Unlike many fruit-added beers the sweetness does not come through at the end in a strong way although it is definitely there. While the sweetness doesn’t grow, the Watermelon seems to creep out and take over a bit but does not take over like some seasonal, fruit beers can. While this may not be for everyone if you like a flavoured wheat beer with some unique tastes, this could be your pick for the weekend.
