Parallel 49 Brewing Co. – Tricycle Grapefruit Radler Review

When it comes to summer beers there is something about the sweet/sour combination of a Radler. Parallel 49 has released the Tricycle Grapefruit Radler with this thought in mind. From the 355ml can the Tricycle pours a very cloudy, peach colour with strong resemblance to red grapefruit juice. A single finger of head settles rather quickly leaving no signs of lacing whatsoever. Slight pulp is apparent on the sides of the glass though from the grapefruit content. The flavour is strong with grapefruit in a bittersweet, lightly carbonated package. Similar to eating a half-grapefruit with a touch of sugar the lager base is not very apparent and leaves the sense that you are not drinking alcohol at all. The Tricycle is a little out there for a craft beer lover but it is an easy-on-the-alcohol option for the summer and a fruity beer concoction that surely many will enjoy

Alcohol – 3.5%
Size – 6 x 355ml
Price – $11.90 (Parallel 49 Brewery)
