What can we do to make growler filling stations available in every community (either BC Liquor Stores, Cold Beer & Wine or Pubs)? Or do micro/craft brewers want to make people come in their doors to get a refill?

It seems that Timmy Brown’s upcoming Surlie Brewing is not listed yet!

Red Collar Brewing Company in Kamloops has now opened. Unless Bowen Island Brewing has moved, they’re located in Vancouver in the False Creek area, not Kamloops.

I just bought a Growltap which seemed a good idea until … Does anyone know where in Victoria I can buy CO2 cartridges, threaded, 16g, foodgrade? I have a growler full of Category 12 Saison and hate to see it go to waste.

I am not sure if they are food grade or not but any bike shop will carry threaded CO2 cartridges.

Thanks dustansept, if my beer doesn’t taste of oil, my first toast will be to you.

I hope you enjoyed my first toast. Russ Hay Cycles supplied a cartridge and the beer did not taste of oil!
Incidentally, the Saison from Category 12 is well worth sampling. I did not need to preserve the flavour with the fancy gadget – it disappeared in one day somehow….
    Cheers,
    John.
