The Mackenzie Room features an all-star line up of local brews on tap (and on the dessert menu) this National Beer Day!

It’s National Beer Day this Sunday, April 7th. What will you be doing to mark the occasion? Vancouver’s The Mackenzie Room has a suggestion.

Curated by beverage director Cody Dodds, The Mackenzie Room’s beer list is selected with two main questions in mind: is it delicious? And how does it pair with the food? The ever-changing list includes 6 rotating handles that showcase the best beers from around BC. This weekend, they are bringing some of their staff favourites on tap in time for National Beer Day, including brews from Steel & Oak, Four Winds, Persephone, Dageraad and Strange Fellows Brewing.

Also on tap this weekend, is the Salted Porter from Fieldhouse Brewing in Abbotsford, who’s robust flavours can also be enjoyed in The Mackenzie Room’s Bohemian and Czech inspired Dessert feature, Honey + Beer. An unexpected combination of ingredients, chef Sean has created a Honey and Beer spiced cake with Bay Leaf Cremeux, Brown Butter Ice Cream, Preserved Stone Fruit and Spiced Pecan Meringue, bringing out the best of the Salted Porter, while also offering guests something sweet.

Locally owned and one of a kind, The Mackenzie Room immerses guests in its passion for honest dining, with a full-service experience that celebrates the bounty of the West Coast from the moment guests walk in the door, to their final sip. It’s the place to connect with friends and loved ones, to dine outside of the box, and to fall in love with the best of British Columbia.
