Central City & Parallel 49 Collaborate on 2016 Seasons Greetings Advent 24-Pack in time for Holidays
Central City Brewing & Parallel 49 Brewing introduce advent-style beer calendar featuring selection of seasonal favourites and exclusive new beers for 2016
Surrey & Vancouver, BC – October 21, 2016 – Just in time to celebrate the holiday festivities, Central City Brewers + Distillers and Parallel 49 Brewing Company have collaborated once again on an advent-style beer calendar with this year’s Seasons Greetings 24-Pack. Packaged to look like a festive gift, this year’s version features 24 seasonal favourites and brand new beers exclusive to the Seasons Greetings 24-Pack: 12 from Central City and 12 from Parallel 49. Contained in the mix pack are 5 limited release craft beers that won awards at the recent, 2016 BC Beer Awards.
The 2016 Seasons Greetings 24-Pack will hit liquor stores in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba in late October. It offers something for the beer enthusiast in everyone, from unique beer styles like sours, stouts, scotch ales, and porters, to tried and true classics like winter ales, IPAs, and pale ales. Like a traditional advent calendar, each date in the Seasons Greetings 24-Pack reveals a new beer that is kept secret until the day arrives to open it.
To kick off the holiday season, beer fans will be able to get a sneak peak of the exclusive beers at two public tap takeover events in Vancouver: November 1st at Central City Brewpub on Beatty St., and November 7th at St. Augustine’s Craft Brew House & Kitchen (events run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and there is no charge to enter).
“We always have a great time collaborating with Parallel 49 and within our own team on this holiday beer project,” says Gary Lohin, Brewmaster at Central City Brewers + Distillers. “Not only do we work with Graham and his team, but we collaborate within our own brewery to create 12 unique beer recipes. It brings together our team around the goal of being creative and making great beer!”
