Central City Brewing Shoots for the Stars with Red Racer Super Stellar IPA

Red Racer Super Stellar IPACentral City Brewing offers a lighter, sessionable, hop-forward IPA

Surrey, BC – The magic of the cosmos is one step closer to earth with Central City’s latest intergalactic creation, Red Racer Super Stellar IPA.

The more sessionable yet still hop-forward beer is lighter than Central City’s most award-winning Red Racer IPA, offering beer fans something different but stays true to their mandate of only brewing balanced beers that use the best ingredients available. Red Racer Super Stellar IPA is made from citra and mosaic hops with spicy, citrus notes and an intense aroma that defies gravity itself.

“We’ve been a leader in the IPA category for many years and our ISA has also become a favourite as a lighter, more sessionable beer,” says Gary Lohin, Brewmaster at Central City Brewers + Distillers. “With Super Stellar IPA, we’ve created a beer that has big fruit tones, citrus notes and a spicy hop finish. We believe that there is an IPA for every occasion and Super Stellar helps make this idea a reality.”

“We first introduced Super Stellar IPA as part of the 2015 Craft Crossing holiday 24-pack and our customers really enjoyed it,” says Tim Barnes, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Central City Brewers + Distillers. “So we shot for the stars and launched it as a full time brand. Straight into the stratosphere we go with Red Racer Super Stellar IPA.”

Central City is hosting a meteoric launch party on Tuesday, April 5th at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre (1100 Chestnut Street, Vancouver) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This free event is open to the public (ages 19+) and samples of Red Racer Super Stellar IPA as well as canapés from Central City on Beatty restaurant will be served. Anyone interested in attending will need to register via Eventbrite.

The Red Racer Super Stellar IPA (6% ABV, 68 IBU) is available in 473ml cans in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba and on draught at select purveyors throughout the west in early April.
