Backroads Brewing is Opening for Business in Nelson BC

BACKROADS BREWING READY TO OPEN

Nelson’s newest brewery and taproom will be opening its doors in mid-March

Nelson, BC, February 27, 2017– Backroads brewing company began producing its first batches of beer on February 22nd and is anticipating the beer will be ready in mid-March. The brewery will be starting out with a North-West IPA, a Saison, and a Kellerbier.

“We are extremely excited to be officially opening our doors to the public. In early February, we took the construction paper off the windows and started letting people see what’s been going on; the feedback has been amazing. We’ve worked incredibly hard for the past 7-8 months to get to this point, so having such a positive response has been really gratifying.” – Brent Malysh, Founder & CEO

An official specific opening date has not been set quite yet. Brewmaster, Mike Kelly, will make the determination once he is confident that the fermenting and aging process has gone smoothly and that the beer has met his quality standards.

It will be somewhat of a soft opening as there will only be two styles available for the first week or so. The brewery plans to have 5-6 styles available by early April.
