Sixth Annual Vancouver Craft Beer Week Announces Full Event Lineup, Open Ticket Sales for 2015

 Lumberjack themed week includes first annual Vancouver Magazine International Craft Beer Awards Gala

Vancouver, BC –  The sixth annual Vancouver Craft Beer Week kicks off on May 29th 2015 and goes until June 7th 2015. This year’s festivities include the first annual Vancouver Magazine International Craft Beer Awards Gala presented by CRAFT Beer Market on May 29th 2015 at the Roundhouse Community Centre.

From May 29th – June 7th beer lovers can look forward to sixteen craft beer focused events, including:

  • Rare Brews & BBQ, where guests will get a taste of limited release or never before tasted beers from multiple BC and International breweries.
  • What the Hop? Beer Trivia! guests can test their beer knowledge with other craft beer enthusiasts.
  • The VCBW signature Battle of the Bartenders: Beer Cocktail Competition V, where eight of Vancouver’s top bartenders will square off at The Blackbird Public House & Oyster Bar, using only bar tools and creativity to create the perfect beer cocktail.

“We’re so pleased to announce this year’s beer week event lineup, and are particularly thrilled to be partnering with Vancouver Magazine for their first annual International Craft Beer Awards, as well as with Stihl Timbersports, who are having their Western Canadian Finals at our closing festival,” said Christopher Bjerrisgaard, Marketing Director at Vancouver Craft Beer Week.

Other Vancouver Craft Beer Week events include the Biercraft Belgian Showcase, Hyper Local: Sour Session, Cicerone vs. Sommelier, This Sandwich That Beer Throwdown, and Canada’s largest craft only beer festival closing the week on June 6th & 7th.

VCBW’s official beer for 2015 is “Campfire Kolsch”, a collaboration beer brewed by 30 B.C. breweries at Red Truck Beer Co’s new brewery located in the historical Brewery Creek district, with proceeds going to their official charity, The Vancouver Firefighters Charitable Society.
