Postmark Brewing - Pineapple Ale Review Postmark Brewing Co. – Pineapple Ale Review

Postmark Brewing is getting their fruit on with the Pineapple Ale. This 5.2%, 18 IBU bomber bottle was brewed using “heaps of pineapple” for a tropical fruit flavour infusion. Pouring the beer it is amber coloured and has one finger of head that leaves some lacing behind as it settles. The aroma is full of pineapple with a subtle malt character lingering behind the fruit-front. Tasting the beer there is a bit more of the malt character that comes through along side the bright but somewhat subdued pineapple. Don’t get me wrong, there is a lot of pineapple flavour but compared to the nose it is somewhat more mellow. The malt has a lightly toasted character and subtle hop flavour that are both masked by the pineapple. If you are a pineapple fan, this is the beer for you it is intensely flavoured but still quite balanced and easy drinking without being overly sweet.
