Brewed with “A Burst of Passionfruit” the Passionation is a German Hefeweizen from Off The Rail Brewing. This beer is 4.8% alcohol and is available in 650ml bottles. Pouring the beer it is cloudy and golden in colour with a strong aroma of bubblegum, wheat and of course passion fruit. Tasting the beer it has a sharp carbonation and the flavour kicks off with a tart passion fruit taste. More tart than expected this leads into some more traditional hefe notes of bubblegum and clove but the cheeks pinch with that initial tartness. This is not your typical Hefe with the tartness and fairly sharp fruit flavour. The bubblegum-like flavour is typical for the style and adds a unique flavour combo with the tropical fruit infusion.
