Dead Frog Brewery - Tip Hop Spruce Tip IPA ReviewDead Frog Brewery – Tip Top Spruce White IPA Review

Dead Frog has been out picking spruce tips for their Tip Hop, A White IPA infused with fraser valley spruce tips. This beer is available in 650ml bottles and is a hazy, golden colour topped with a finger and a half of lacing head. The aroma is a combination of west coast hop character and a citrus-spruce note. The Wheat content seems to add a lightness to the aroma that balances the strong hop tones. Tasting the beer, the spruce comes forward and pushes the hops back somewhat. The Wheat character is also quite mellow, not adding a whole lot to the flavour. The Spruce takes charge up front and builds into the hop flavour and bitterness closer to the finish. This is an enjoyable Spruce beer that is subtle but distinct.

Alcohol – 6.5%
IBU – 55
