Big Rock Kiwi Fruited Blonde Ale Review Big Rock Urban Brewery – Kiwi Fruited Blonde Ale Review

Big Rock’s Vancouver Brewery has released a blonde ale that has been infused with Kiwi Juice. Labelled with a kiwi bird that appears to have been decapitated the beer is golden in colour and has two fingers of head atop a brightly coloured beer. The aroma is light and malty with a very subtle kiwi-fruit character. This is more blonde ale than kiwi but that is probably the way it should be. Tasting the beer it is light on the tongue and malty with a light honey-like sweetness. The Kiwi tones are very small with a light fruity character coming through along side the honey-like sweetness. Perhaps a bit more kiwi flavour would have done this beer well but it is a light, easy drinking and enjoyable blonde ale none-the-less.
